Islamabad: Petrol and diesel prices are expected to decrease in Pakistan from August 1, which may help reduce the burden of inflation. Due to the decline in crude oil prices in the global market, the government is in a position to reduce prices.

According to sources, the price of petrol per liter is likely to decrease by about Rs 6.82, after which the new price is expected to be Rs 265.33 per liter, while the current price is Rs 272.15 per liter.

The price of high-speed diesel is also predicted to decrease by Rs 1.68, after which the new price may be Rs 282.67 per liter, while the current price of diesel is Rs 284.35 per liter.

The Ministry of Finance and OGRA are expected to announce the rates for August 1 on the night of July 31, after which the public will be able to get regular relief from the price reduction.
