Islamabad: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the march being taken out for the rights of the people of Balochistan is a manifestation of the voice of the people and democracy. He demanded that the government stop stopping Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman and the participants in Muzaffargarh and allow them to exercise their constitutional rights.
Addressing the press conference, he said that the Balochistan March is continuing completely peacefully and within constitutional limits, and the participation of ordinary citizens in it is proof that this march is not of any party but a people’s movement.
Hafiz Naeem clarified that Balochistan is rich in natural resources, but unfortunately the citizens there are still deprived of facilities like gas. “Immediate steps are needed to prevent this feeling of deprivation from increasing further.”
He also stressed that Jamaat-e-Islami is trying to unite the entire country and those who want to make this march controversial are only fueling hatred.
On this occasion, he also reacted strongly to the situation in Gaza. He said that the Israeli aggression in Gaza has intensified, and the silence of the Muslim world is a matter of concern. “Children are being martyred in Gaza and international agreements are being continuously violated. If Muslim countries unite, the Palestinian issue can be resolved,” Hafiz Naeem said.
He announced that Jamaat-e-Islami would observe August 5 as Palestine and Kashmir Day, to express solidarity with the oppressed people of both regions.
