PSX Closes Week Strong Despite Volatility; PSX-100 Index Up by 609 Points

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed the business week on a strong note despite intraday volatility, as the PSX-100 Index added 609 points, ending at 139,207.

During the trading week, the index moved within a band of 2,052 points, marking an eventful few sessions. Notably, the PSX-100 Index climbed to a historic intraday high of 140,202 points, setting a new record for the exchange.

Market experts point out that the rise in index was fueled by positive corporate announcements and investor hopes for economic stability. However, global cues and policy speculation continued to inject caution into trading activity.

As earnings season continues and the IMF’s next review approaches, market direction in the coming week remains a key point of interest for investors.
