Peshawar : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to launch a nationwide protest movement from August 5 on the call of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, under which every ticket holder has been given the task of holding a rally in his constituency.
Party sources say that for the successful start of the movement, the central leadership has issued instructions under the new strategy, so that active participation can be ensured at all levels.
According to a private TV, some party leaders have expressed lack of confidence in Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, according to them, Raja kept repeating in many meetings that he is not “material” for protest politics.
The next important meeting of the PTI Political Committee is also expected soon, in which the final preparations for the protest movement will be reviewed. The venue of the meeting is expected to be announced in the next few days.
