New York: Pakistan once again played a leading role on the global diplomatic scene in the UN Security Council. Pakistan’s resolution based on peaceful resolution was unanimously adopted in the meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

In his comprehensive address, Ishaq Dar termed the ongoing conflicts around the world as a threat to global peace and said,

“Peaceful resolution of conflicts is the only way to bring the world out of war and conflict, and Pakistan is ready to take practical steps on this path.”

Highlighting the Palestinian issue, he said that more than 58,000 Palestinians have been martyred, on which the silence of the international community is regrettable.

Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan’s foreign policy is principled and based on non-interference and respect for sovereignty. Describing water as the lifeline of 240 million people, he said that global cooperation is the need of the hour to avoid regional conflicts.
