Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released details related to Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA), according to which there has been a significant increase in interest among Pakistanis in the financial year 2025. 119,185 new Roshan Digital Accounts were opened during this period.
According to the state bank, the total number of Roshan Digital Accounts has reached 831,963 so far. During the financial year 2025, $2.308 billion was deposited in these accounts, while a total of $10.563 billion was deposited from September 2020 to June 2025.
Withdrawn and spent amounts:
According to data released by the State Bank:
- $200 million was withdrawn in FY 2025
- A total of $1.811 billion has been withdrawn in the last 57 months
- $1.55 billion was spent locally in FY 2025
- A total of $6.762 billion has been spent locally so far
Increase in outstanding deposits:
At the end of FY 2025, the value of outstanding deposits in Roshan accounts reached $1.99 billion, which shows an increase of $558 million compared to the previous year.
These figures show that overseas Pakistanis continue to have confidence in Roshan digital accounts, and they are playing a positive role in the country’s economy.
