Lahore: The government has decided to hand over the printing and delivery of electricity bills to the government-run Pakistan Post, which is expected to start formally on July 25.

According to sources, all distribution companies, including the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), will send electricity bills to their customers through Pakistan Post from now on. This move will not only enable timely delivery of bills but will also reduce dependence on private courier companies.

Official sources say that the aim of the project is to ensure a transparent and timely billing system. In the initial phase, this system will be implemented in specific circles, after which it will be gradually expanded across the country.

According to officials, this decision has been taken to make Pakistan Post’s services effective and to modernize the institution, which will not only support the government institution but also ensure that the customers receive their bills on time.
