Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken a big step to solve the growing unemployment and environmental problems in the country and announced he will provide electric rickshaws and loaders to unemployed people. Along with this, it has also been decided to provide electric bikes to top position holders of federal and educational boards.
This announcement was made under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister in an important meeting in which government measures related to the production, availability, and accessibility of electric vehicles in the country were reviewed.
The Prime Minister said that the promotion of electric vehicles will not only save fuel but will also play an important role in environmental protection and the development of local industry. He directed that a transparent system for the scheme be developed, which should also be validated by a third party, and that priority be given to the weaker sections.
PM Shahbaz Sharif stressed that a complete ecosystem for electric vehicles should be developed, which should take into account production, maintenance, and safety standards. He also directed that a public awareness campaign be launched regarding the scheme.
This government initiative will play an important role in laying the foundation for clean and sustainable transport in Pakistan, along with providing employment to the unemployed.
