Safety measures: swimming and boating banned in Punjab after rains

Lahore: The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province as a safety measure after the monsoon rains, under which any kind of swimming and boating has been banned.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Home Department, bathing in dams, rivers, canals, ponds, and lakes will be completely banned. Moreover, bathing in public places, roads, or streets filled with rainwater will not be allowed.

The notification clarified that boating without permission will also be banned, and all these measures are being taken to protect human lives. These restrictions will remain in effect until August 30.
