Democracy runs through dialogue, not deadlock: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad: Senior PML-N leader and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that the democratic process goes beyond dialogue; obstacles and deadlocks weaken it. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said, How can they be trusted to keep their protests within the ambit of the constitution and law?

In his statement, Rana Sanaullah raised the question of whether the PTI’s past protests were constitutional. He said that the PTI’s real agenda is to prevent the country from moving forward. “PTI held protests outside the IMF offices and made every possible effort to push the country towards default,” he claimed.

Rana Sanaullah further said that PTI neither has the ability to run any movement nor does it have a serious attitude. “These people are neither serious nor do they want to find a solution within the system. When there is a dialogue, all issues will be discussed.”

He clarified that there is no right time to remove the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government at the moment. “We want political stability, not chaos.”
