Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed an unprecedented rally on the last day of the trading week, when the 100 index rose by 724 points to a record high of 131,411 points at the start of trading.
There was some volatility during trading, and the index recorded a further 229-point increase, taking the index to 130,915 points.
The market had also closed on a positive trend yesterday when the index closed at 130,686.
According to analysts, increased investor confidence and improvement in the economy have boosted share prices.
