Holidays on 5th and 6th July on the occasion of Muharram Al-Haram

Islamabad: The federal government has declared the 9th and 10th of Muharram as public holidays across the country on the occasion of Muharram Al-Haram.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all government institutions will remain closed on July 5th and 6th (Friday and Saturday).
According to the announcement, the holidays will apply to all government offices that work 5 and 6 days a week.
This decision has been taken after the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif so that security and religious activities can be better arranged across the country on the occasion of Ashura.
