Islamabad: The federal government has increased the price of petrol by ₨8.36 per liter to ₨266.79 and high-speed diesel by ₨10.39 per liter for the next fortnight from July 1, 2025. The main reason for this decision has been given as the increase in crude oil prices in the global market and the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee.
This is not the first time that prices have increased; in mid-June, the price of petrol had increased by ₨4.80 and diesel by ₨7.95 due to the boom in the market.
Below is a comparison of the new rates with the previous prices, showing the increase per liter for Petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD).
