ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has introduced a major relief package for women facing financial difficulties under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Those women who could not receive installments in the past due to biometric verification, identity card issues, or non-completion of the dynamic survey will now be provided with a total amount of Rs 27,000.

These payments will start from June 23, 2025, through BISP centers and approved agents across the country. The June installment will be Rs 13,500, which is part of the payment of previous installments that were pending. If a woman’s data is complete and biometric verification has been successful, she is also likely to get a double installment.

Eligible women will receive payment information via SMS to 8171, so it is necessary that their mobile number is linked to the CNIC and is active. Women who want to check their eligibility can SMS their CNIC number to 8171 or contact the nearest BISP office.

Women who were previously excluded or suspended and have been re-included in the system will also be entitled to this payment, provided that all their details are updated. If there is any problem with the CNIC or biometrics, contact NADRA and later visit the Tehsil BISP office to complete the dynamic survey.

This government initiative is a sign that immediate and effective financial assistance is being provided to the vulnerable sections to reduce economic pressure.
