Pakistan’s incredible comeback, defeating France to reach the final

Malaysia: The Pakistani hockey team made a spectacular comeback in the first semi-final of the Nations Hockey Cup and entered the final by defeating France in penalty shootouts.

France dominated the first two quarters of the match, and the team took a two-goal lead over Pakistan, but the scene on the field changed in the third quarter. Pakistan’s Rana Waheed Ashraf scored the first goal, then Sufyan Muqeem scored the ball on the penalty, and Rana Waheed scored another brilliant goal to give the team a 2-3 lead.

In the last moments of the match, France equalized the score and made the match thrilling, after which the decisive stage was the penalty shootouts. Here, Pakistan’s goalkeeper and shooters performed excellently and took the team to the final.

The final of the event will be played on June 21, in which Pakistan’s eyes will not only be on the title but also on making a place in the Pro Hockey League.
