ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari today hosted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where they discussed the federal budget and current socio-economic challenges. According to an official press release, the Prime Minister updated the President on his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates and outlined the key highlights of the budget proposal for 2025-26.

President Zardari stressed that the upcoming budget should prioritize workers, pensioners, and low-income families, recommending strong policies to reduce their financial burden. He stressed the importance of job creation and social security schemes to strengthen support for disadvantaged communities.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, and Senator Saleem Mandviwala were also present at the meeting. Their presence indicates a united front among the government leadership in addressing economic priorities.
