Pakistan Passport Fees 2025: MRP & E-Passport Charges

Islamabad: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has released the updated fee structure for Machine Readable Passports (MRP) and e-passports for the year 2025. Below is a detailed breakdown of the fees based on passport type, validity, and processing time.

Passport Application Process

  1. Fee Payment: Generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID) via the Passport Fee Asaan app or the e-Payment Web Portal. Pay the fee through internet banking, ATMs, JazzCash, Easypaisa, or 1-Link member bank branches.
  2. Visit the Regional Passport Office (RPO): Bring the original CNIC/NICOP and a photocopy. For renewals, carry the previous passport. Government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC). For minors, present the Child Registration Certificate (CRC).
  3. Biometric & Photo Capture: Fingerprints and photographs will be taken at the passport office.
  4. Data Entry & Interview: Personal details will be recorded, followed by a brief interview with an official.
  5. Passport Collection: Collect the passport from the same office or opt for delivery, depending on the service chosen.

Processing Times

  • Normal Processing: Approximately 21 working days
  • Urgent Processing: Approximately 5 working days
