Azam Nazeer Tarar Law Minister responds to the PTI founder’s case decision

Islamabad: According to Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, the lawyers of the founder of PTI did not even argue the case and did not even examine the prosecution’s witnesses. Speaking to the media at a press conference after £190 million after the judgement, he said he expected the founder of PTI to appeal against the verdict.

Tarar further said, “Now that the case has been decided, the founder of PTI has a right to appeal against the sentence. These include confirmation that the amount ordered to be transferred to the UK by the Supreme Court has been deposited in the government account.

He also stated, “In a 14-year prison sentence, there is no room for bail.” Is it not better that instead of repeatedly explaining such issues in the media, the witnesses should have been taken to court?

Such an incident has never taken place in Pakistan, and the money of the state cannot be deposited in someone’s personal account, said Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. Farah Gogi said to have taken an unspecified amount of money, then fled the country.”

Information Minister Ata Tarar also criticized the situation; she said, “A heinous crime and corruption are being hidden behind the religious card.” In other words, whichever card is played, the actuality of the robbery has been firmly established. PTI’s founder again could not substantiate evidence in court.”
