Karachi: The UK pound sterling (GBP) showed continued strength in the Pakistani open market on 29 May 2025. The buying rate of the GBP was recorded at Rs. 383.50, while the selling rate reached Rs. 387.00.

This uptrend reflects global forex market volatility, Brexit aftershocks, and consistent import demands for UK-based goods. It’s a concern for Pakistani students and travelers making payments in GBP as their cost of remittance increases.
