Islamabad – Under the 10-year Country Partnership Framework (CPF), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has kindly welcomed the World Bank’s $20 billion commitment for Pakistan.
In a statement, the Prime Minister underlined that by stressing six important areas, the framework captures Pakistan’s national goals. These span child nutrition, quality education, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, inclusive development, and private investment.
“This deal reflects the World Bank’s confidence in Pakistan’s economic potential and stability. It also confirms our will to provide better chances for the people, PM Shehbaz said.
He sincerely thanked the Army Chief and his staff for their efforts, as they are essential in maintaining this important cooperation. “We look forward to enhancing this cooperation to align efforts for the prosperity of our citizens,” he said.
This event has been praised by economists as a turning point, as they hope it would give Pakistan’s economic reforms and development programs fresh impetus.
