ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a joint press conference in Islamabad.
The DG ISPR said that India fired four missiles at Amritsar last night, one of which landed in a boat, while three missiles fell within India’s own territory. He said that India itself blamed Pakistan by targeting its own installations, which is propaganda based on lies.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Pakistan shot down 29 Indian drones, of which four soldiers were injured in the drone attack and three civilians were martyred. He added that India’s claim of attacking 15 places in Pakistan is also false, and India should come out of the film world and face the reality.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has not taken any action in any urban area of Indian Punjab and, as a responsible country, has shown all possible strategic caution. He said several Indian drones violated Pakistan’s territory, including one that tried to target a military installation in Lahore. The Indian Air Force shot down five Pakistani fighter jets.
Ishaq Dar further said that Pakistan reserves the right to respond to Indian aggression at a time and place of its own choosing, and if India makes any adventurism, our army, navy, and air force are on alert. He said that the people of Pakistan need not panic, the armed forces are committed to defense.
