LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has approved important bills passed by the Punjab Assembly, which have been declared effective immediately after gaining legal status.
The following bills have become acts after the assent of the Governor of Punjab:
- The Thalassaemia Prevention Bill, 2025
- The Punjab Efficiency and Conservation Agency Bill, 2025
- Nexus University Sialkot Bill, 2025
- Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research Bill, 2025
- Next Institute of Science and Technology Bill, 2025
- The University of White Rock Bill, 2025
- The Punjab Acid Control Bill, 2025
These bills aim to bring improvements in key areas such as health, education, energy saving, and scientific research. Experts say that these legislations will not only promote institutional reforms, they will also directly benefit the people.
It should be noted that, according to the law, the approval of the governor is necessary for any bill to get legal status, and after the approval, these bills are considered to be effective.
