Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India that any act of aggression will be met with a befitting response

ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stern message to India, saying that any kind of aggression by Pakistan will be met with a strong and befitting response. He said that in 2019, India’s plane was shot down and the pilot was returned, which hurt Modi politically.

In an interview, Khawaja Asif said that India knows that if anything is done, there will be a befitting reply from Pakistan. He added that India should not make any move in the election cycle that will have to bear the brunt.

The Defence Minister said that if Pakistan had not offered an investigation on the Pulwama incident, the global statements could have been aggressive. He said that it is the effort of the major countries of the world that the Pakistan-India conflict does not escalate.

Khawaja Asif further said that 4 to 5 countries can form a commission and submit a report on Pakistan’s offer of investigation. He said that Pakistan has always tried for peace, but if India makes any move, it will not be borrowed.

The defense minister said that India sponsors terrorists in Pakistan through neighboring countries; India is not brave enough to attack directly. He said that India’s terrorism has also reached Canada and America.

Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is capable of giving a befitting reply to any aggression and has done so in the past. He said that India should be careful in rhetoric and not make any move that will have to bear the brunt.
