India’s allegations exposed, Indus Waters Treaty non-suspendable: Barrister Aqeel Malik

Islamabad: Federal Adviser on Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik has termed India’s attempt to blame Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident as a “failed narrative.” He said that no inquiry was held into the incident and in just a few minutes, Pakistan was blamed, while questions were also being raised on this allegation from within India.

Barrister Aqeel Malik further said that the forces of Pakistan are fully prepared and if India attempts any misadventure, it will be given a befitting reply.

Referring to the Indus Waters Treaty, he said its suspension is not possible as the World Bank is its guarantor and unilateral suspension of the treaty is not possible in any case. He said Pakistan has taken up the issue at the global level and called upon the World Bank to fulfill its obligations under the agreement.

Barrister Aqeel Malik said that only one party did not participate in the All Parties Conference held in the past, but all parties are united on the issues of national security.
