Karachi: Today’s sharp rise in the price of gold in Pakistan saw a Rs 1,000 per tola spike, making the new rate Rs 276,000.
In a similar vein, 10 grams of gold now cost Rs. 236,625, an increase of Rs. 857.
The price of gold also increased by $10 per ounce on the global market, hitting a record high of $2,642 per ounce.
Experts in the market blame the increase in gold prices on changes in demand throughout the world as well as the continuous devaluation of the local currency, which has an effect on the precious metals market. Investors are closely monitoring issues that affect gold prices both domestically and internationally.
