Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al Maliki. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of mutual interest between the two countries and to further develop bilateral relations.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi thanked the Saudi government and the Saudi ambassador for providing full support to Pakistan’s economic and social development. He particularly thanked the Saudi delegation for their participation in the Counter-Narcotics Conference of the Pakistan Gulf Cooperation Council.
In the meeting, the interior minister said there is a need to increase cooperation with Saudi Arabia in anti-narcotics and human trafficking to ensure the welfare of the people of both countries.
To curb the problem of beggars and illegal immigration in Pakistan, the Interior Minister announced the imposition of new passport conditions and said that strict action is being taken against the beggar mafia.
