Bilawal Bhutto further said that we had promised that the selected would be removed, that promise was fulfilled. He claimed that Prisoner No. 420 had given permission for two of the six canals, but it was only the PPP that was opposing the plans. This project is an attempt to take away Sindh’s share of water, and we cannot remain silent on it.

Referring to the victory in the Umerkot by-election, Bilawal Bhutto said that the people of Sindh have once again reposed faith in the PPP and made it clear that they reject this controversial project. He said that 17 parties, the PTI and the PML-N could not defeat us even if they united. We have inflicted a historic defeat on the people of Islamabad. Bilawal Bhutto said in the end that the PPP has always stood with the people and will remain so, raising voice for the right of the people of Sindh at every level.
