KARACHI: Gold prices in the country have recorded a big increase for the third consecutive day, causing a wave of concern among the public and jewelry buyers. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold has increased by Rs 2,000 per tola today, after which the new price has become Rs 350,000.
According to the data released by the association, the price of 10 grams of gold also saw an increase of Rs 1,715, after which the price reached Rs 3,368. This increase has been seen not only in one day but continuously in the last three days.
Gold prices also continued to rise in the global market, where gold rose by $19 to $3,329 per ounce today. According to economists, financial uncertainty at the international level, currency fluctuations, and lack of investor confidence are the main reasons for the rise in gold prices.
It may be recalled that on the previous day itself, a big increase of Rs 8600 was seen in the price of gold per tola, which is being considered as the most significant increase in recent months. Jewellers say that if this trend continues, gold is going out of the reach of the common man.
