As of April 2025, both Apple and Samsung have updated the prices of their smartphones in Pakistan. Apple has significantly reduced the prices of its iPhone 16 series, while Samsung’s latest models are available through various retailers.

Apple has reduced the prices of the iPhone 16 series in Pakistan from Rs 4,000 to Rs 14,000. To make these phones more accessible to Pakistani users.

The iPhone 16:
128GB – Rs 361,700
256GB – Rs 401,000
512GB – Rs 480,250

The iPhone 16 Plus:
128 GB – Rs 401,000
256GB – Rs 441,000
512 GB – Rs 520,000

128GB – Rs 446,000
256GB – Rs 484,500
512GB – Rs 564,500
1 TB – Rs 644,500

The iPhone 16 Pro Max:
256GB – Rs 526,000
512GB – Rs 604,500
1 TB – Rs 684,500

The price change is part of Apple’s new pricing policy, which was introduced in September 2024.

The new structure of the PTA tax on the iPhone 16 for 2025

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a new tax structure on iPhone 16 models for 2025. This tax varies based on whether the registration is done with a passport or with a national identity card.

PTA tax details:

The iPhone 16.

  • With passport – Rs 128,000
  • With ID card – Rs 153,000

The iPhone 16 Plus:

  • With passport – Rs 134,000
  • With ID card – Rs 160,000

The iPhone 16 Pro:

  • With passport – Rs 167,000
  • With ID card – Rs 197,000

The iPhone 16 Pro Max:

  • With passport – Rs 181,500
  • With ID card – Rs 211,000

This tax is applicable to those who bring phones from abroad and register them in Pakistan.

Samsung Mobile Phones

As of April 2025, Samsung’s latest smartphones are available in Pakistan through various retailers. Although the company has not officially announced the price cut, the following prices are being seen in the market:

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra:

  • 12GB RAM / 256GB storage – approximately Rs 450,000
  • 12GB RAM / 512GB storage – approximately Rs 490,000

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

  • 12GB RAM / 256GB storage – approximately Rs 520,000
  • 12GB RAM / 512GB storage – approximately Rs 560,000

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.

  • 8GB RAM / 256GB storage – approximately Rs 320,000
  • 8GB RAM / 512GB storage – approximately Rs 360,000
  • Note: Prices may vary depending on location.

The recent reduction in prices of the iPhone 16 series by Apple and the new tax structure of the PTA are aimed at making modern smartphones more accessible to Pakistani consumers. Samsung also has a strong presence in the market with its innovative devices.
