Fluctuating Currency Rates: Dollar and Pound in the Pakistani Open Market

KARACHI: There has been a slight fluctuation in currency rates in the country’s open market today, where the value of the US dollar and the British pound has recorded an increase.

According to the forex market, the buying price of the dollar was 280 rupees 65 paise, while the selling price was 282 rupees 15 paise.
Similarly, the British pound is available for sale at Rs 359.60 and Rs 363.10, while the price of the euro has been fixed at Rs 307.40 and Rs 310.15.
In the open market, the Saudi Riyal is available at Rs 74 for 70 paise and Rs 75 for 25 paise, the UAE Dirham is available at Rs 76 for 35 paise and Rs 77, while the Canadian Dollar is available at Rs 199 for 35 paise and Rs 201 for 75 paise.
In other currencies, the Australian dollar was trading at Rs 174 for buying and Rs 176 for selling of 25 paise; the Chinese yuan was at Rs 37.59 for buying and Rs 37.99 for selling of 59 paise; while the Japanese yen was at Rs 1.91 for buying and Rs 1.97 for selling.
