Rawalpindi – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Barrister Gowhar has said that the detention of three sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan, including Alima Khan, is not only illegal but unconstitutional. Talking to the media in Rawalpindi, he strongly condemned the arrest move and said that there is a clear order from the court that Imran Khan should be allowed to meet his family.

We were only here to raise our voice in favor of Alima Khan and other sisters of Imran Khan so that they can have a legal right to meet their brother.” He clarified that there is no court order regarding the conditions being imposed by the jail administration.

There was no stone-pelting by us on the police, nor did we call for any sit-in or protest. He said that it is the right of every citizen to express themselves peacefully, but this kind of treatment of the family of the founder of PTI is condemnable.

Barrister Gohar demanded the government and the jail administration immediately release Imran Khan’s sisters and ensure a family meeting in compliance with the court’s orders.
