Mohsin Naqvi has issued instructions to take strict measures against human trafficking and cybercrime.

Islamabad: Director General FIA Rifat Mukhtar held an important meeting with Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the growing challenges of illegal immigration, human trafficking, and cybercrimes. The newly appointed Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Waqaruddin Syed; State Minister for Home Affairs Talal Chaudhry; and Federal Secretary for Home Affairs Muhammad Khurram Agha also attended the meeting.

According to the release, the Home Minister directed the DG FIA to develop an effective strategy against illegal immigration and human trafficking. He said that the elements involved in human trafficking are playing with the lives of innocent people, so indiscriminate actions will be taken against them in the four provinces, and the human trafficking mafia will be dealt with iron hands.

Mohsin Naqvi further said that cybersecurity has become a big challenge for the whole world at present, so there is a need to increase the capabilities of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. For this purpose, officers will also be sent abroad for advanced training. So that steps can be taken as per global standards to prevent cybercrimes.

He said that a comprehensive and integrated strategy will be adopted against cybercrimes to protect the public from this threat.
