Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs and senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has said that the issue of canals is not among the major issues of the federation, and the matter can move forward only after a consensus is reached on it.
He revealed that the issue of canals was discussed in detail in the meeting between the Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, where the Prime Minister assured to resolve the matter by mutual consent.
Rana Sanaullah said that unnecessary allegations were being made against the PPP and the federation regarding the canal issues in Sindh, to which the PPP should respond effectively. He made it clear that no harm should be allowed to be done to national unity and the federal structure.
The adviser to the prime minister further said that in the current circumstances, all political forces have to work together to bring the country’s economy out of the crisis. According to him, the government is making serious efforts to reduce electricity tariffs. To provide maximum relief to the people.
