Important issues ignored in Parliament, Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s concern


ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed serious concern over the law and order situation in the country, saying that important national issues are being ignored in Parliament.
In a statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman strongly condemned the blast at the mosque in South Waziristan and described the tragic incident as very sad. He said the attack on a holy place like a mosque during the holy month of Ramadan is highly condemnable, and it is clear that the law and order situation in the country is taking a worrying turn.
The JUI chief urged the government to pay immediate attention to the rising incidents of terrorism in the country and take the nation into confidence. He said that ignoring such serious issues in both Houses of Parliament is like turning a blind eye to public issues, which can be detrimental to democratic values.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that the state should give top priority to the protection of the life and property of the people, and immediate and effective steps should be taken for this purpose. to ensure peace in the country.
