Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Promote Industry and Business

Islamabad— Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a meeting with a delegation of prominent industrialists and business leaders, stated that the government is working on a priority basis to promote industry and business in the country. He emphasized that the business community and industrialists are the backbone of the nation’s economy, and resolving their issues is the government’s top priority.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister held detailed discussions with the business delegation and reiterated the government’s commitment to implementing business- and investor-friendly policies. He highlighted that the Strategic Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been established to provide a convenient and effective platform for investors and the business community, which will boost business activities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned significant progress in the digitization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), stating that the fee-less customs assessment system has enhanced transparency and facilitated business processes.

The prime minister noted improvements in the country’s macroeconomic conditions, attributing them to the efforts of the economic team. However, he stressed the need for further hard work to ensure that the benefits of economic improvement reach the masses. He emphasized that the government is striving to achieve sustainable development goals and steer the country toward economic stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the business community that the government will take all possible measures to address their issues and improve the business environment. He stated that the promotion of industry and business will not only create new employment opportunities but also help stabilize the economy.
