Islamabad, Pakistan— Pakistan has strongly criticized the Israeli Prime Minister’s recent aggressive comment, calling it “unacceptable and detrimental to the peace process.” Emphasizing that Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) will always be Palestine’s capital, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people based on pre-1967 borders.

Ishaq Dar also fully supported Saudi Arabia, hailing its unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause and denouncing Israel’s efforts to skew Saudi Arabia’s posture. Calling for respect for international rules and UN resolutions, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry asked the whole world to hold Israel responsible for activities compromising peace. Reiterating its support of world justice and oppressed populations, Pakistan is still dedicated to pushing for Palestinian rights and a fair settlement of the issue.
