Muzaffarabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif addressed Muzaffarabad’s Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly through a speech that reinforced Pakistan’s firm backing for Kashmiri freedom efforts on February 5 Kashmir Solidarity Day. The international community observes this day annually as it presents a chance for unity with the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir people, alongside highlighting their right to self-determination.

During his address, PM Sharif demanded that India should reverse the August 5, 2019 decision that stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status. He declared this action unlawful along with violating international regulations. The Prime Minister declared that India should revoke its unjust measures regarding Kashmir before establishing meaningful dialogue to resolve this dispute.

During his speech, the Prime Minister recognized Kashmiri martyrs while declaring that their fight for independence keeps rising in strength. The Kashmiri nation remains upright in their unwavering fight for freedom. According to him, Indian suppression measures have failed to stop Kashmiri people from increasing their freedom demands daily.

During his speech, Sharif criticized the substantial deployment of Indian military forces in IOJK because they failed to extinguish the Kashmiri independence movement. Kashmir remains free from suppression because hundreds of thousands of Indian troops have been unable to dampen the freedom movement. According to him, the world needs to witness this wrongful situation.

Throughout his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s continuous international advocacy for Kashmir. Pakistan actively presents Kashmiri causes to international bodies, starting from the United Nations all the way to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and additional global platforms. As a result, Pakistan will speak for the Kashmiri people until they achieve their just independence, according to the Prime Minister.
