Federal Cabinet to Discuss Pilots’ Fake Licenses and Key National Matters

Islamabad: A meeting of the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has been scheduled for tomorrow, with a 13-point agenda released. The agenda includes a legal review to determine the reasons behind statements regarding fake licenses of national airline pilots.

Key topics on the agenda include approval of the Middle East Green Initiative, a summary from the Ministry of Commerce on tariff and trade agreements, and addressing payment delays under the Prime Minister’s package for ex-servicemen.

The meeting will also cover the reformation of the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Health, quotas for MBBS and BDS seats in medical colleges under the Ministry of National Health, and approval of an MoU between Pakistan and Azerbaijan for the exchange of advanced data.

Additionally, the cabinet will ratify the decisions made by the Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises on January 17 and those by the Cabinet Committee for Disposal of Legislative Cases on December 17 and January 22.

Appointments, including the director of the National Institute of Pakistan Studies at Quaid-e-Azam University and granting additional charge to the chairman of Karachi Port Trust, are also expected to receive approval during the session.
