Al-Ghazi Tractors Highlights Smarter Farm Mechanisation at Agri-Connections 2026

LAHORE: Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) highlighted the importance of modern and accessible farm mechanisation at the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition’s (PAC) Agri-Connections Conference & Expo 2026, where the company served as Platinum Sponsor.

The two-day event was held on October 1 and 2 at the Lahore Expo Centre in partnership with the Government of Punjab. The conference focused on food security and agricultural investment amid the challenges posed by climate change.

Speaking on the first day, AGTL Chief Executive Officer Yasin Seker said Pakistan’s agriculture sector faces several challenges, including rising input costs, growing food demand, comparatively low crop yields and increasing pressure from irregular weather patterns, heat and water shortages.

Seker said modern agricultural technology could help farmers improve productivity and use resources more efficiently. He highlighted technologies such as telematics, which can support machine monitoring and predictive maintenance, as well as precision guidance and automatic steering systems.

“Technology must follow value, not the other way round,” Seker said, adding that new solutions should demonstrate clear benefits for farmers before being adopted on a wider scale.

He also stressed the need for practical financing and access models for small farmers. According to AGTL, machinery rental, custom hiring, leasing and mechanisation-as-a-service could help farmers access modern equipment without having to purchase every machine themselves.

On the second day, Seker participated in a panel discussion on the future of technology in agriculture. He called for greater integration of machinery, precision technology and digital tools to support Pakistan’s farming sector.

AGTL also highlighted the importance of cooperation among farmers, manufacturers, dealers, government institutions, financial organisations and technology providers to expand access to modern agricultural solutions.

The company displayed its New Holland tractors at the event. AGTL said its participation builds on its decision to join PAC as a Patron in June 2026.
