Islamabad: The federal government has once again changed the prices of petroleum products. The new prices have increased for petrol consumers, while they have been reduced for diesel users.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2.2 per liter. After this change, the new price of petrol has become Rs 391.30 per liter.
On the other hand, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 3.59 per litre. After the reduction, diesel will be available for Rs 408.53 per litre.
The new prices will remain in effect until September 28. Thus, the government has changed the prices of petrol and diesel in different directions for a short period.
A slight increase in the price of petrol will have a direct impact on those consumers who travel by motorbike or car daily. The price of fuel is also a major cost for the transport sector, so a change in price can affect business expenses.
