Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan has said that PTI is not closing the doors of political talks. Mahmood Khan Achakzai and the party leadership are ready for talks, however, there is no progress in the talks at present.
Barrister Gauhar said that PTI knows which parties it has to talk to. According to him, the solution to political issues should be found through talks. Practical steps are needed for this.
Criticizing the government, he said that the current government’s approach does not show a serious attempt to resolve the issues. The parties must adopt the path of talks to reduce political tension.
On the question regarding the possibility of Governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Gauhar said that this kind of situation exists even before the formal imposition of Governor’s rule in the province.
On the other hand, Opposition Leader in the Senate Raja Nasir Abbas said that a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan could lead to progress towards resolving the political problems facing the country.
According to Raja Nasir Abbas, if any message has been given to meet Imran Khan, it has not reached him. He said that direct contact on political matters could prove important for future progress.
