Tehran: The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy has claimed that three oil tankers have been targeted in the Strait of Hormuz in response to US attacks.

According to Iranian officials, three US-affiliated ships in other areas have also been targeted.

The Revolutionary Guards say that US forces had previously attacked three Iranian oil tankers, which damaged them. Iran has claimed to have taken this step in response to the same attack.

The Iranian Navy has warned ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz not to attempt to pass through routes that Iran has declared unauthorized.

Iranian officials have also rejected the US claim that the Strait of Hormuz is open to traffic. According to them, ships should not ignore Iranian instructions in the current situation.

Iran says that the end of US naval and economic pressure is necessary to restore normal shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials have also linked the permanent end of military operations in the region to this process.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital sea route for global trade, and any major disruption here could affect oil supplies and the global market.

However, these claims by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard could not be immediately confirmed by independent sources. The situation will become clearer after the US comes out with a detailed position on these specific claims.
