Lahore – After the summer vacations are over, school activities are going to resume in Punjab. The School Education Department has set new timings for educational institutions from August 24. Under the fresh schedule, teaching activities in government and private schools will continue from Monday to Friday.
According to the Education Department, single-shift schools will start at 8 am from Monday to Thursday. The teaching process will continue until 1:30 pm. On Friday, the timings will be shortened, and schools will remain open from 8 am to 12:45 pm.
A separate schedule has also been set for double-shift schools. From Monday to Thursday, the first shift will start at 8 am and end at 12:30 pm. The second shift will start at 1 pm and will continue till 5:30 pm.
The first shift of double-shift schools on Friday will be from 8 am to 12 pm. The second shift will start at 2 pm and will end at 5:30 pm.
The new working hours are aimed at restoring normal academic activities after the long summer vacations. The education department has also directed the concerned district authorities to ensure implementation of the schedule.
After this decision, it is important for parents and students to also confirm the final schedule with their respective schools, especially in those institutions where classes are held in two shifts. Schools in Punjab are returning to the academic routine from August 24.
