Tehran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has said that Iran is fully prepared to resist despite all pressure and that negotiations with the United States will not begin as long as the US continues to violate the Memorandum of Understanding.

Abbas Araqchi said in a statement that Iran will not forget or ignore the blood of its martyrs. He said that the elements who shed the blood of Iran’s great martyrs will not be forgiven.

The Iranian Foreign Minister clarified that there are no direct talks between Iran and the United States at the moment. According to him, the two countries are exchanging messages through mediators, but Iran will not begin direct talks until the US ends its violations of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Abbas Araqchi said that Iran is steadfast in its principled position regarding negotiations and mutual understanding and adherence to promises will be necessary for any new negotiation process.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also spoke about the agreement between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, saying that the agreement between the two countries has entered the final stages.

He clarified that the agreement between Iran and Oman does not mean the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, new sea lanes will be established in the Strait of Hormuz under the agreement.

According to Abbas Araqchi, the proposed arrangement between Iran and Oman will create new routes and arrangements for maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian Foreign Minister’s statements have come at a time when global attention is focused on diplomatic relations between Iran and the United States, the possible resumption of negotiations, and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has made it clear in its position that the resumption of negotiations requires adherence to the agreed commitments and the existence of credible conditions.
