Tehran – The Iranian Army has said that the country’s armed forces are continuously strengthening their defence preparedness to deal with various challenges facing national security. According to officials, special attention is being paid to increasing modern military capabilities and effective use of local defence resources.
Iranian Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminiyyah said in a statement that the army’s practical and operational capabilities are being continuously improved in line with current security requirements. According to him, progress is being made in various fields to modernisemodernise the defencedefence system.
He said that relying on the domestic defencedefence industry, new equipment and military equipment are being added to the army so that the professional capacity and readiness of the forces can be made more effective. He said that the use of local technology is also promoting defencedefence self-reliance.
According to Brigadier General Mohammad Akramian, weapons, defencedefence resources and operational equipment are being arranged according to military needs and practical strategies so that the ability to respond effectively in different situations can be maintained.
According to defence observers, such statements by Iran are coming at a time when the security situation in the region has become the centre of global attention. However, the official statement did not name any specific country or potential threat but emphasised increasing overall defence preparedness and military capabilities. In this context, analysts say that modern defence capabilities, local defence production and operational readiness are considered important elements of any country’s national security strategy.
