The moon of Safar 1448 (Hijri) has been sighted, which means the month of Safar 1448 will be observed on Thursday, July 16, throughout the country, the Central Rueyat-e-Hilal Committee (CRHC) announced in a statement on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, who reviewed the evidence received from various parts of the country, concluded that there was a moon sighting in Safar. The Safar 1448 Hijri will be on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
According to the Islamic calendar, the religious activities will continue throughout the country, based on the first day of the new lunar month, Safar 1448 Hijri, according to the announcement. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee congratulated the nation on the commencement of the Islamic month and wished peace, stability and prosperity to the country from Allah Almighty.
