Islamabad: The ongoing diplomatic talks between Iran and the US appear to be entering a crucial phase, with Arab media reports claiming that the two countries are very close to a possible agreement. According to diplomatic sources, backdoor contacts are underway to finalisefinalise the text of the agreement, agreement, and an important announcement is expected soon.

According to reports by Al Arabiya and other regional media outlets, the talks are not only focusing on the nuclear programmeme but also on sensitive issues such as the overall security of the region, maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, economic cooperation and de-escalation. Sources say that if an initial framework is agreed upon, it could prove to be a major change in the uncertain situation in the Middle East that has been going on for many years.

In this context, Pakistan’s diplomatic activities are also witnessing an unprecedented pace. It is reported that important figures from Pakistan will leave for Tehran on Thursday, where detailed consultations will be held with the Iranian leadership. According to sources, Pakistan is playing an active role not only in promoting peace in the region but also in the process of building trust between Tehran and Washington.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran for the second time in a week. According to Iranian media, his visit has extraordinary diplomatic significance, as it is taking place at a time when sensitive talks are underway between Iran and the United States. Mohsin Naqvi discussed the changing situation in the region, border cooperation, security issues and diplomatic relations in his meetings with the Iranian leadership and senior officials.

Diplomatic experts say that Pakistan has been able to present itself as a balanced mediator in recent months through a quiet but effective diplomatic strategy. According to experts, Islamabad’s reliable relations with both Tehran and Washington give it an important position in the negotiation process.

Reports also say that the next round of talks between Iran and the United States is likely to be held in Islamabad after the Hajj season. If this happens, Pakistan will host these sensitive regional talks for the first time, which is being considered a major breakthrough in international diplomatic circles.

Economists say that a possible deal could stabilise the global oil market, while easing tensions in the Gulf region could bring economic benefits to many developing countries, including Pakistan. Improved maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz would also make global trade routes safer.

According to observers, if a final agreement is reached between Iran and the United States, it will have profound effects not only on the diplomatic and economic situation in the Middle East but also in South Asia, while Pakistan’s mediation efforts could further strengthen its diplomatic importance on the global stage.
