ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a positive closing today, with the KMI-30 index gaining 4,699.35 points, closing at 250,755.67.
This follows a day of significant fluctuations, with the index opening at 247,674.66 and reaching a high of 251,882.52. Despite the volatility, the market closed with an impressive gain of 1.91%, reflecting strong investor sentiment.
In terms of trading volume, the total index constituent volume was recorded at 244.03 million shares, with some stocks showing particularly strong performances. Notably, PPL, OGDC, and LUCK emerged as major contributors to the market rally, pulling the index upward.
Stock Performance
PPL led the charge with a contribution of 672.03 points to the KMI-30 index.
OGDC followed with 638.85 points, while LUCK provided 603.04 points to the positive momentum.
On the flip side, EFERT and FFC were the key draggers, with their contributions at -92.14 points and -24.13 points respectively.
