Tehran: Describing the current situation in the Middle East as extremely sensitive, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has urged the countries of the region to adopt a joint strategy against the ‘destabilising’ actions of the US and Israel.
According to Iranian media, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in his recent statement that the US and Israel bear full responsibility for the rising tension in the region. He clarified that the recent attacks on Iran’s basic infrastructure are not just provocations but a deliberate attempt to jeopardise regional peace.
Taking a categorical stance, Abbas Araqchi said that Iran will go to any extent to defend its sovereignty, regional security and national interests, and no effort will be spared in this regard. He stressed the need for mutual cooperation among regional countries and said that only by uniting can the path of external interference and aggression be stopped.
According to experts, this statement by the Iranian Foreign Minister comes at a time when diplomatic and military tensions in the region are at their peak, and Iran appears determined to send a strong message to the enemy through its defensive capabilities.
