LNG price hiked in Pakistan; OGRA issues new price notification

Islamabad: The prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) have been significantly increased in Pakistan. According to a notification issued by the relevant authorities, new prices have been implemented on the systems of both gas companies.

According to the notification, the price of LNG on the Sui Southern Gas Company system has been increased by $2.26 per MMBTU.

Similarly, LNG on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited system has been increased by $2.22 per MMBTU.

According to officials, after this increase, the new price of LNG for Sui Northern has been set at $13.55 per MMBTU.

While the new price of LNG for Sui Southern has been set at $12.53 per MMBTU.

According to energy experts, this increase in LNG prices may affect the industrial and energy sectors in the coming months.
